If you pick the second way - do know you (if you already don't) the blocks are EXTREMELY flexible - sometimes just a few lines of simple styling code might change the appearance / behaviour of a block entirely. Put your mind to it and figure out a way tweaking what you have to look (act maybe) as the one in your head.
